It is Monday today and this is the last week of the semester, everything seems to have accumulated to a lot of work that needs to be done. I have four stones finished so far and four different prints that have experimented with portraiture. The stone below is my fifth stone for the year, I have completed the second etch for it on my own and the marks have come through really nicely after inking it up.
Update: It's Thursday later in this last week, my last day in the studio before breaking up for Christmas, what I decided to do was too print my smaller stone that I printed last week but this time print it in colour. I mixed up this dark brown colour to use, I printed it on three different types of paper, the tan paper I printed on came up the best with the brown ink and I really like how the final printed image came out.
I then finished printing my bigger stone, I did this in black ink and again on three different types of paper just to see the variations and experiment with what I may use going forward next year for my exhibition. Hanging up below in the picture are the three final prints that came out. I was happy with how the linear qualities came up in the final print and has definitely given me a focus going forward with my work with portraits.
