Week Eleven - A final, slightly frantic, week of printing

This was it the last week to print everything that needed to be printed and I managed it.

I had three stones left to draw and print, this consisted of a self-portrait I decided to do last minute, one last background to print over the portrait of my friend Ameesha and two portraits of my Granny and her partner as part of my additional series.

I printed the pattern without any problems, I then printed my self portrait, which at first came out slightly to dark a brown. However I eventually got it to a lighter brown that I was happy with after mixing a new sepia colour. After printing my self-portrait I decided that I may not include it in my exhibition as I don't think it necessarily adds anything to my exploration with self-identity, I think everything I wanted to express says it through my other portraits.

I also then printed the additional series of my Granny and her partner to join the portraits of my Grandfather and Nan I did in February. These came out successfully, I had a little problem with the ink rolling up slightly weird but after scraping it off and starting with a fresh surface it was okay.

And finally a sneak preview of nearly all the portraits finished and together. This was the first time I had got most of them together to look at. It's really nice to see them like this and to see an idea turn into a reality.
